The Casa Azafrán Community Center made its debut Monday night during a Red Carpet Preview attended by nearly 200 friends and supporters — 45 days before it opens to the public.

What visitors saw was a $5 million space carefully designed to reflect the spirit that created it: A center built by Nashville for Nashville – all of Nashville.

Visitors saw the meeting rooms where would-be entrepreneurs will learn about launching businesses; the commercial kitchen where cooks and caterers will start, and grow, their culinary endeavors; the computer lab designed to inspire creativity and bring forth big dreams. They also saw the gallery where artists will display their works, the studio where everything from drumming to dancing will be enjoyed and the courtyard that surely will host many festivities.

The excitement was palatable and the feedback encouraging.

What People are Saying

“Every time I am part of a Conexión event, I am so proud to know you and be connected to your organization – the spirit and energy you bring to Nashville and the incredible services you provide to many who would otherwise be fending for themselves is awe inspiring.”

“Casa Azafrán Community Center is going to be a great melting pot for different nationalities, cultures and religions. Supporting Nashville becoming a more international city by helping, promoting and embracing diversity.”

“Amazing! What a wonderful gift for Nashville and the people served by the agencies and groups involved.”
