Thanks to you we just enjoyed the most successful Cafecito: A Cup of Coffee for Conexión Américas yet in our 13 year history (see photos of the event here)! Over 530 guests joined us to meet some of the graduating high school students in our Escalera program and learn more about what we have accomplished and the many things yet to come! If you missed Cafecito and would like to make your donation online, please click here.

We were excited to work with a new team at Movie Time Productions for our short documentary this year. It was a pleasure to work with Nashvillian Esteban Pedraza and Aaron Pryka to capture the story of two of the students.

As a surprise for our guests, 25 of the graduating Escalera students also revealed where they will go to college this fall! From Lipscomb and MTSU to Wesleyan College and Los Angeles City College, we enjoyed learning where these promising students will be pursing their dreams and their careers in just a few months.

We also shared our vision of the year to come, including opportunities to expand programs like Escalera, Parents as Partners and more. Read Executive Director Renata Soto’s full remarks here. The attendees at the breakfast pledged or gave $140,000 and we invite you to donate here to  help us meet our goal of $200,000 this year. A generous grant from the family of the late Bill Cochran will match your donation of $100 or more until May 31.

Your donations ensure that our work continues to help Latino students, families and individuals become welcome members of our community.

Thank you to all our supporters! Gracias!
