Celebrate Nashville

At this year’s Celebrate Nashville event, we saw the beauty and diversity of Middle Tennessee — from food to dances to culture and custom. And, in the faces in the great crowd, several of whom are captured in the video above.

As we prepare for the December 1 opening of the Casa Azafrán Community Center, a new center in Nashville’s international district, we are looking forward to serving the needs of immigrants, refugees and the Nashville community in a diverse and welcoming setting.

And, we need your help. We need your support in creating a new public art project at Casa Azafrán: “Migration.”

“Migration” is a 30-foot by 12-foot mosaic mural that will crown the facade of the community center. Its colorful tiles are being put together by artist Jairo Prado and volunteers. It is a project built by Nashville for Nashville.
