Belong. Contribute. Succeed.

Conexión Américas was founded in 2002 to address the pressing challenges, and opportunities, created by demographic changes in Middle Tennessee as an increasing number of Latino families moved to our state.

In the 20 years since our founding, Conexión Américas has assisted families and individuals in achieving goals such as buying homes, starting businesses, improving their conversational English, navigating systems in their new community, learning their rights and responsibilities, helping their children succeed in school, and bettering their lives through nationally recognized services and programs.

About Our Name

Our name, Conexión Américas, speaks directly of our mission to connect and build bridges between the Latino and the native-born residents of Middle Tennessee.

“Conexión” (pronounced conn-ex-ee-on) is the Spanish word for “connection.”

Our organization’s name underlines our commitment to connecting Latino families with information, local resources, support networks and opportunities for advancement in their adopted homeland.

The plural noun “Américas” literally alludes to North America, South America, Central America and the Caribbean as geographic units that make up the American Continent. Figuratively, in our case, “Américas” refers to the convergence of people from all these regions in our own Middle Tennessee neighborhoods.

Our name is a constant reminder of our mission.
