¡Adelante TN! is designed to support the Latinx community in Nashville and Middle Tennessee, helping them to advance and integrate into the workforce. It connects Latinx adults who are unemployed, under-employed, or seeking a post-secondary career path with job opportunities that align with their experience and skills.
Through this program, we seek to ensure that participants have access to the right tools and resources to improve their skills and knowledge. At the same time, we seek to ensure that employers find spaces to meet the job seekers within the Latino community. The program is open to Latinx immigrants, or immigrant-origin adults and young adults who are 18 years of age or older. It offers high-quality training to develop in-demand skills and counseling sessions.
Program services include:
- Workshops on resume writing, mock interview practices, and more
- Job search assistance
- Job fairs
- Individual counseling appointments
Victor was working as IT Manager for Central America in Nicaragua, and when he arrived in the USA he found a job opportunity doing building maintenance. Victor made a commitment to Adelante TN! to not only attend the individual sessions but also to be part of the different events where he was oriented and had the opportunity to connect with the company he was interested in. During the job fair he had the perfect opportunity to do so and today he is a proud member of Tractor Supply Co.
