Position Summary:

The Repair Technician I is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and testing computer server hardware in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This entry-level role supports production operations by ensuring systems meet quality and performance standards.

 

Essential Functions:

Perform basic diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of server hardware components (e.g., motherboards, CPUs, memory, storage, power supplies).

Inspect components for proper seating and/or damage.

If necessary, order parts utilizing defective material review (DMR) tool.

Accurately document repairs, parts usage, and test results in internal systems.

Escalate complex technical issues to senior technicians or engineering teams.

Enter repair data into the Quanta manufacturing system (QMS) shop floor system.

Participate in and follow 5S program by maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Support production goals by meeting daily throughput and quality targets.

Other duties as assigned by management or supervisor.

 

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Six (6) months to one (1) year of experience in a related field.

Minimum six (6) months to one (1) years’ experience in computer science is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Work is in a typical manufacturing environment; temperatures are controlled but occasionally can be warmer or colder than typical office settings.

Wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to distinguish colors.

Ability to stand/sit for long periods.

Ability to stoop/bend to look under, over and around items.

Ability to stay still and/or move around on cement floors for long periods.
