As our 2012-2013 fiscal year ends this month, Conexión Américas extends a grateful Thank You to donors, supporters, volunteers and friends who have helped make this year remarkable.

Among the highlights:

  • We opened Casa Azafrán in December, bringing together nonprofit partners who provide a variety of services to immigrants, refugees and the Nashville community. Casa Azafrán also has provided meeting space for companies, groups and nonprofits and has brought Nashville together for movie screenings, graduations, cultural celebrations and more. (Watch for casaazafran.org soon!)
  • The Conexión Américas’ commercial kitchen, Mesa Komal, opened, providing kitchen space for food entrepreneurs, pop-up restaurants at Casa Azafrán and the exciting new Mezcla, a cooking club and culinary adventure.
  • ESL classes have been expanded, serving a community of Hispanic immigrants and refugees from around the world.
  • We now prepare deferred action paperwork for youth who qualify for the federal program for undocumented young people.

All this is possible by the generous donations of individuals, foundations and corporations. So, again, thank you and here’s to an even better 2013-2014.
