Visit https://www.govotetn.com for the most updated information about voting in Tennessee. It’s the easiest way for Tennessee voters to find their Election Day polling locations, view and mark sample ballots, see their elected officials, districts and county election commission information as well as access online election results through the GoVoteTN app.

You may be eligible to vote by mail. Voters with underlying medical conditions that put them at higher risk of severe illness from COVID-19 can use this reason. A doctor’s statement is not required. You should request a vote-by-mail ballot ASAP – no later than two weeks before the request deadline. The deadline to request an absentee ballot in Tennessee is October 27, so you should have really requested your mail-in ballot no later October 13 to ensure that there are no problems. Request a mail-in ballot from the Davidson County Election Commission.

Another low-risk voting option during the pandemic is to vote early! Early voting provides a variety of voting options, creating less crowded polling environments as well as more time to cast your ballot. Early voting in Tennessee begins on October 14 and ends on October 29. Check out Davidson County’s early voting schedule to find an early voting polling location near you! We will be hosting early voting at Casa Azafrán and would love to see you there!

As we continue to participate in VoteEarlyTN, a nonpartisan, first-of-its-kind initiative to promote early voting this year, we are excited to announce that we have officially adopted Tuesday, October 27, as our day to vote early—stay tuned!

You should always know your voting rights before casting your ballot. Learn more about how to exercise your voting rights from the ACLU’s comprehensive voting rights guide.

Remember that under federal law, voters who have difficulty reading or writing English may receive in-person assistance at the polls from the person of their choice. You can bring a family member, friend, or other person of your choice to assist you at the polls. This person cannot be the voter’s employer, an agent of the voter’s employer, or an agent or officer of the voter’s union.
